Mrs. Himani Asija

In the words of APJ Abdul Kalam,

With these visionary words in mind, Ms Himani Asija believes that every child at Ambience Public School contributes towards making a great nation; and the foundation for that is laid at school.

With her vast experience of 24 years of teaching Mathematics, she has spent 19 years with Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj as PGT Mathematics amongst which for two years she has led DPS Karnal as a Vice Principal cum officiating Principal.

Ms. Asija was awarded the National ICT Award from the then Hon. President of India Sh. Pranab Mukherjee in 2013. She has been a research student at Osaka Kyoiku University, Osaka, Japan under the Monbukagakushou Scholarship programme for in-service teachers.

A recipient of the Award for ‘All India Competition on Innovative Practices and Experiments for teachers and teacher educators’ by NCERT, Ms Asija has also been the Ideator (Project Head) of the CBSE International team for Grades grade 6 to 8. She has co-authored the Mathematics lessons for the same up to class 10.

She has represented India at the International level through Microsoft India in the ‘World Wide Innovative Educators’ Forum’ at Cape Town and in the ‘Partners in Learning Institute’ at Washington.

She has been a resource person for various workshops for in-service teachers organized by CBSE/SCERT and the Delhi Public School Society for the use of Technology in Mathematics. She is associated with C.I.E.T., N.C.E.R.T. for various projects undertaken for Mathematics and is a certified key resource person for the course on ICT in education, by CIET, NCERT.

Along with the 3 R’s of education i.e. Reading, Writing, Arithmetic; she strongly believes in the development of the 4C’s of the 21st century skills i.e. Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication and Creativity amongst the children. She is firmly rooted in the belief that teaching is not just imparting knowledge to expectant students but involves nurturing every child and being responsible for the social, emotional and physical well-being of each child. “The Important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child must be given the wish to learn.”

VICE PRINCIPAL

Dr. Shalini Prasad

An expert in psychology, PhD in Social Science, Dr. Shalini Prasad is an eminent educationist, who had been enlightening the students and associates of DPS, Vasant Kunj, since she joined the renowned institution in the year 2002. Her skills are varied and all-pervasive, extending from her subject to assisting and enriching baffled students as a counsellor and guide through a path that is oriented towards a successful life.

She has also conducted many workshops for corporates by motivating the employees and helping them develop their high self esteem. Her calm, composed and optimistic personality always makes people admire her.

Presently, she has joined prestigious Ambience Public School as the Vice Principal to share her expertise as a mentor and ensure that the institute attains a greater pedestal. She is determined to uphold the motto of the school and groom holistic individuals and imbibe the values and ethos of the great institution with the same zeal and enthusiasm as her predecessors; in a friendly, safe, and stimulating atmosphere where growth and success comes naturally in a child-centric, happy environment. With her dynamic personality and analytical skills, as an able administrator she is sure to bring many laurels to an institution that looks forward to bringing out the best in the leaders of tomorrow.

Ms. Nitika Sakhun Chaudhary

Deeply influenced by these inspiring words of our late President, Ms. Nitika Sakhun Chaudhary envisions to impart the true education to every student at Ambience Public School with the intent that when these students will step out in the world with dignity and self-respect and carry forward these traits to the different fields that they will enter into, this world will become so much a better place to live in.

She has an eminent career as a teacher of Computer Science and Mathematics which is extended over a period of 19 years. Amidst all these years, she worked for 14 years with Delhi Public School.

She is committed to enhance the school education in both technology and values so that students can go hand-in-hand with the current age of technology as well as the values from our Vedas and scriptures that teach us the Way of Life.

She has a mission to inspire and support teachers and parents to become self-motivated and passionate and achieve the best version of themselves so that together, all can support, inspire and hand-hold our children to become their best versions and train them on the skills required to live a purposeful, abundant and beautiful life.

She believes that deeply imbibing the moral values in students at the Primary level can significantly reduce the disciplinary problems throughout their lives.

She envisions to Educate children about the importance of self-discipline and consistency at a very young age and support them to understand how these two habits can be the strongest pillars in their overall growth and development for the entire life.

She believes in instilling the love for learning in young minds which would be used throughout their lifetime to obtain knowledge at all levels. She has a strong conviction that if we inculcate in children the habit of being a life-long learner and allow them to experience books as their life long best friends, we are doing service to humanity as a whole and ensuring a much better and a wonderful future for the generations to come.

She has a mission to produce extremely successful learning results by building a positive home – school connection. She aspires to align the parents with the vision of the school and encourage them to give an equally supportive environment at home so that together we all can achieve the vision for the child by comforting them in their growth rather than pressurizing them and controlling their thought process.
